Pan-Seared Ahi Tuna with Baked Potato & Sauteed Cauliflower
Just a couple minutes of active time produce this well-rounded, hearty meal. Sear the tuna for just a minute or two on each side and plate with some golden-brown cauliflower and a baked potato.
Active Time: 15 mins Total Time: 60 mins
Ingredients:
- ahi tuna
- potato
- cauliflower
- oil or butter
Seasoning:
- 1 part salt
- 1 part black pepper
Equipment Needed:
- Pan
- Oven
- Stovetop
Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 F, poke a few holes in the potato, and bake for an hour until inside is soft
Step 2: Oil and season ahi tuna
Step 3: Heat oil or butter in a pan over high heat
Step 4: Sear ahi tuna for 1-2 minutes per side, until it develops a golden crust, but is still almost raw in the middle
Step 5: Chop cauliflower into bite-sized pieces
Step 6: Heat oil or butter in a pan over medium heat
Step 7: Saute cauliflower for 7-10 minutes, until cauliflower develops a nice golden-brown exterior
Step 8: Plate ahi tuna, baked potato, and cauliflower together and serve!
