Sliced Sirloin with Quinoa & Zucchini

Beautiful slices of steak plated with healthy and satisfying sauteed zucchini and quinoa. Cook the zucchini in the same pan you use for the steak to cut down on dishes and ramp up on flavor.

Ingredients:

  • steak
  • quinoa
  • zucchini
  • oil or butter

Seasoning:

  • teriyaki sauce
  • garlic powder or minced garlic

Equipment Needed:

  • Pan
  • Pot
  • Stovetop

Step 1: Cook quinoa according to package instructions
Step 2: Oil and season steak
Step 3: Heat oil or butter in a pan over medium-high heat
Step 4: Cook steak for 2-3 minutes per side, until it reaches your desired level of done-ness
Step 5: Dice zucchini into small pieces
Step 6: Heat oil or butter in a pan over medium heat
Step 7: Saute zucchini for 7-10 minutes, until zucchini begin to brown on the outside and develop a slight crunch. Stir occasionally, every 2-3 minutes or so.
Step 8: Plate steak, quinoa, and zucchini together and serve!
